This week's photographer was Sally Mann.

In a lot of her photographs there is a contrast between the focus
and the background that makes the focus of the photo stand out.
She has created some cool illusions because her choice of background.
She has shot a lot of nudes, so you need to be careful if you look her work up.
This week's assignment was to capture
things that hold sentimental value.
The first one is the Dutch costume my Mom had when she was a girl.
I add saturation to the colours so that they were more true in the dress and apron.
The silver bracelet is from my Great-Oma,
she got it for me when I was a baby and had my name etched into it.
The statue in the background was from her too.
For this one I had to rotate it because the one end of the bracelet was hanging from a tree,
so that's why the background is sidewise.
I also cropped it and added a bit warmth.
The third one is definitely one of my favorites.
All I did was add saturation to the colours.
The third and fourth are of a silver set that has made it's way down from
my Great-Oma to my Mom. The bench also use to be my Oma's and Opa's.
I cropped the photo and add colour saturation to the fourth too.
The Dutch dolls are from my Oma.
I once again added colour saturation and brightened up the shadows a tiny bit.
The plate is the last remaining from my Mom's childhood.
I cropped it and added a bit of colour saturation to help it pop.
The Grandfather clock was my Great-Opa's clock.
A true Grandfather's clock.
All I did was add a touch of warmth.
The Bible is the one my parents got as a wedding gift.
It is on the bench we've had as long as I can remember.
I'm not sure where we got it from.
All I did to the photo was crop some height off the top
I hope you enjoyed looking at the photos as much I enjoyed taking them.
